– Written clarity on promises made by directors/administrators: specify where these promises are documented, their duration, and if they become policy.
– Verifiable policies instead of relying on handshakes and promises.
– Clear and accessible rubric for progressing through adjunct levels as outlined in the pay matrix.
– A method to independently verify adjuncts’ standing in the pay scale.
– Titles reflecting matrix standing, such as Senior Lecturer/Adjunct.
– Implementation of an adjunct voting representative in faculty ranks.
– Good-faith effort to convert adjunct positions to term contracts for those interested.
– Separate meetings for adjuncts or intentional invitations to faculty meetings discussing adjunct-related topics.
